This is a piece I did for Inurface Media, Bristol. Made using Flash, the animation looped as each job was posted.
Charcoal Drawings
Even in Fine Art, I was fascinated by the character and telling a story. These are based upon the idea of there being 'Pinocchios in society', different people who had trouble fitting in. I used my two flatmates as reference, and am rather pleased with the results
Some old photography
Some old work created using a traditional slr camera. Before I turned my attentions to focus upon animation, there was a side of me that loved provocative art. In Illusion of Life, it discusses how even the villians have appeal. I think thats what I enjoyed. Taking something that would usually disturb and provoke and try to find beauty within it.
It is seeing these moments captured in a gallery or on film, where I find sometime find myself home
Facial take

Created to participate in the 11 second club's mini challenge, I produced this facial take. Found it really helpful to keep referring back to the basics, to get each element of the face working as I wanted.
Soon I will be producing a lip sync piece which this is a warm up for. But first, a couple of character walk cycles, starting with a person with a leg cast and crutch. Pretty daughting, but just gotta get stuck into it. Fingers crossed it goes well :)
